Welcome to our newsletter - July 2017

We are past the winter solstice and as it stands the course is holding up well for this time of the year. We are busy preparing for what we hope will be an early spring.

Let's take a look at what's been going on...
Events at GHCC

Well done Ladies!

In May, we held a Pink Ribbon Breakfast. It was a fantastic turn out with over 50 ladies attending an action packed morning of bingo, breakfast and games. We doubled last years' efforts raising $1,250 for the Breast Cancer Charity - a big thank you to all the local businesses that supported such a worthy event!

Wine tasting evening?

Tickets are selling fast for the superstar winery Mt Difficulty degustation evening. Interested in an exquisite evening of food and wine, Saturday 29th of July from 6.30pm at Gulf Harbour Country Club.

Farewell and Good Luck to Tom!

We say goodbye to Tom Littlewood, Irrigation Technician who has been a valuable member of the team at GHCC for 12 years and will be missed. Tom is going to be taking up a new challenge as a Sports Turf Manager in the Auckland area and we wish him all the best in his new role. The good news is Tom is still a member at GHCC so you will still get to see him

GHCC Juniors at Remuera Junior League

June was a big month for GHCC juniors playing in the 1st round of the PGA Junior League at Remura. Well done to Christen Li, Poseidon Li, Harry Xu, Callum Wall, Brandon and Cody Robertson and Olivia Liu who won after Brandon holed a tough putt. It was a fantastic achievement as 3 of the kids had never played in a 9 hole tournament before. We look forward to inviting Remuera back to GHCC next month.

Jenna, our trainee Pro will be running a School Holiday program in July, so if you're interested in joining the next Junior League or the School Holiday program, then contact Jenna on 027 4888 037 or email jenna_gainford@icloud.com for more information.
