We still have a few places available for the SOSSI Charity Golf Day on Saturday 3rd November. This promises to be a fantastic event supporting a wonderful local charity and we are looking forward to welcoming a strong field of members and visitors to the course.

The format for the day will be a 4-man Ambrose Competition with an 11am shotgun start. Please get in touch with the Pro Shop if you are interested in playing in this inaugural SOSSI golf day.

The Competition Committee has worked tirelessly to pull this event together and we thank them for all their hard work. The cost of entry is $60 per person ($240 per team of four) which includes entry, donation to SOSSI and a fantastic prize table.

Members please note: there will be no other tee times available on this date except for those playing in the charity golf day.

Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th November

The Club Championships is without a doubt the most important date in the golfing calendar. This year, with a lot of members playing finding form, it's set to be a great weekend of golf. The Club Championships is free to enter for members and 36 holes of golf are played over two days in a Gross Stroke format.

To enter the Club Championships you can either register online or in the Pro Shop and the closing date for entries is Wednesday 7th November. The draw for divisions will be done on Thursday 8th November and the divisions will be based on the number of entries. On Saturday, the Seniors will be tee off first, followed by the lower divisions. On Sunday, the lower divisions will tee off first and the Senior and Intermediate divisions will tee of afterwards.

Prizegiving will take place on Sunday after the play finishes in the Pohutukawa Lounge and the Club Champion will be announced. We are excited and hope you are too! if you are not entering you should make a note in the diary for the afternoon of Sunday 11th November and come and support the golfers competing. The balcony upstairs is the perfect vantage point to watch the golfers finishing up on the 18th hole.

The winners of the Gulf Harbour Club Championships will qualify for the Champion of Champions which will be held at Wainui on Sunday 18th November and will represent Gulf Harbour.

Hole in Ones

Tradition says when you get a hole in one then you shout your fellow players and any golfer in the bar a drink. We like traditions at Gulf Harbour and would like to honour this tradition.

Gulf Harbour Members are reminded that the annual hole in one levy included in the membership subscription will cover them completely for the full year (this includes if they are at another course).

For more information on the hole in ones please refer to Hole in One Policy on the website.

Honours Board

We will be updating the Honours Boards and engraving trophies and will have this completed ready for the Closing Day in December which we are sure you will agree is long overdue. If you have a trophy please can you return it to the Pro Shop no later than Sunday 4th November.

Bag Tags

Going forward we will be issuing bag tags for all members so we can marshall who is a member at the club and prevent people that are not members playing on the course. Members will also be asked to carry their membership cards for ID.
